Thank God… It’s Thorsday
With the winter wind still whistling around Valhalla, I’ve been stocking up on sheepskins and spending the long chilly evenings huddled up next to the fire pit with Sif. We’ve been watching the box set of Hammer Horror films Loki bought me for Christmas, hardly a fair exchange for the 48-piece toolkit I got him, but hey…
Winter is a strange place in Asgard. The sun rises around 11.30am and promptly sets again at 11.31am, so everyone’s feeling a little tetchy at the moment, not to mention freezing cold. I’ve tried brightening the mood with a few hammer-throwing displays, although even they have failed to lift the mood ever since I accidentally hit one of the Valkeries, returning back after a tiring flight from Fólkvangr… oops.
But today there’s a buzz around the place as the first few bottles of my new whisky arrived and I’m head-over-heels about how it has turned out. The bottles feature my favourite hammer, Mjolnir and the whisky is pretty explosive stuff, which is exactly what I need right now, to block out this infernal cold.
Later we’ve got a big family feast (chicken legs, roast goats, a whole ox… you get the picture) so I’ll hold a toast with it and get everyone in the mood for the entertainment afterwards. Loki is going for a world record attempt at speed shape shifting and Odin is putting on a display of strength with his prized ravens. Seriously, you wouldn’t believe the sort of stuff they can carry!
Until the next time – skål…
if I could find the price of a bottle of Thor I would buy one, the shop does not show me that piece of info or is it me thats daft??
What would Odin say if he knew you gave thanks to the kvitekrist god?
stick to the meed
Loke
Good day to you Dennis – the price is a bargain at £120. My friends at Highland Park http://www.highlandpark.co.uk have a shop where you can buy my fine whisky. Skal Thor
